Special Feature: Meet the FS-1!
Most of Rocket League's fleet is made up of rocket ships. However, the recent advent of anti-gravity technology has allowed Rocket League engineers to build advanced flying saucer craft as well. While saucers do not enjoy the top speeds of Rocket League's more advanced rockets, they do have superior maneuverability. Saucers are capable of moving in any direction at any time, without concern for turning arcs. The FS-1 was the first saucer craft to enter service. As a ship of exploration, it is not fitted with weaponry, but Rocket League now has an even more advanced FS-2 model which is larger and does feature ray cannons.
The FS-1 can function with a crew of four to ten, depending on the mission needs and training of the personnel assigned. If you step right this way, we will begin a tour of the FS-1. Please note that the ship we are touring was the FS-1 prototype, so many details may not be fully installed. We will also be using enhanced lighting so that shadows and reflections do not confuse...
Entrance Ramp
![]() ![]() |
From outside, as you can see, the FS-1 has three entrance ramps, spaced evenly about the circumference of level three. There is another traditional door beyond the "drawbridge" style outer doors. This allows for exit and entrance to the FS-1 while in space. The inner door opens once the outer door closes, thus acting as an airlock. If landed in a hospitable environment, then both doors can be open simultaneously. The glowing bulb on the underside houses the FS-1's telescopic and radar array. In flight, this bulb spins as the radar conducts it's 360 degree sweep. Around the perimeter of the underside of level two, there are evenly spaced circular discs, which emit the antigravity waves necessary for the FS-1 to maneuver and fly. A portion of the power feeds to the antigravity system also extend beyond the outer hull. The dome on top houses level one (the control room) and the needle on top is the communications antenna. Let's go up the ramp and inside for a closer look...
