• The first explorers to land on Venus become involved in Venusian politics before fleeing the wrath of Empress Kitarna the Oppressor.

• The early stages of organization begin, for what will one day come to be called the "Rocket League".

• The first manned mission to Mercury takes place, where a race of giant stone people are encountered.

• The ST-2 station, at the halfway point between Earth and Mars, is constructed.

SY0
• Project Superluminal is a success, after the rocketship Prometheus exceeds the speed of light. On the same day, Rocket League is founded and establishes a new international calendar. The date is set at January 1, SY0 (pronounced, January first, space year zero). At first, the Rocket League calendar is used only within the organization, but gradually becomes the standard calendar for the rest of planet Earth over the next two decades. Rocket League begins construction of similar rockets, which come to be known as the RS-1 class.

SY2
• The first missions to Ceres in the asteroid belt and many of the outer planets and moons take place over the next ten years.

SY3
• In the first manned mission to Alpha Centauri, the rocketship Bellerophon is marooned after an attack by the Oculen. The rocketship Atlas later rescues commanding officer Major Duranjaya Mudaliar from the system.

SY5
• The horrible giant robot Exotron lands in Rawlins, Wyoming attacking a small town. It eventually leaves, its origin and purpose unknown.

SY6
• A small research outpost is built on the Ceres asteroid. 
• One pilot returns from a doomed mission to Triton, reporting that the rest of his crew were sacrificed as food by the Tritons to their giant alien god, "Lord Squiddus".

SY7
• Planet X is discovered on the fringes of the Solar System, but is not visited.

SY9
• Giant spiders are discovered deep inside an asteroid neighboring the Ceres research outpost.

SY10
• The first of several chance encounters with the Cortexians occurs in the outer Solar System.

SY16
• The first of several sightings of a mysterious sphere occurs many light years beyond the Procyon star system.

SY19
• Station ST-2 intercepts radio communications from the planet Mars, and determines that a population lives under the surface. Apparently the population was driven there when conditions on Mars’ surface became harsh.

SY21
• Many RS-1s are refit to RS-2 classes. Afterwards, both classes continue to be built when new ships are needed.

SY23
• In an attempt to make contact with the Martians, a conflict between the Rocket League ship Helios and a Martian rocket takes place in outer space. The conflict is a standoff after both ships retreat, but the aggressive nature of the Martians is revealed.

SY24
• A flying saucer of unknown origin attacks the town of Texas City, Texas, abducting several people.

SY26
• In response to several threats, Rocket League develops the RS-3.

SY29
• The Interstellar Signal Transceiver is invented and soon after placed on all Rocket League space ships.

SY31
• In the South American jungle, Dr. Frederick Scott discovers the first specimen of gelatinous-celestius, or a "glob" as they are more commonly referred to. The slimy goo-like entity grows to large proportions after consuming several natives, before it is eventually destroyed with concentrated salt.

SY33
• A saucer of the same appearance as the one attacking in Space Year 24 destroys the Rocket League rocketship Artemis between Jupiter and Saturn.

SY34
• Gravitic manipulation is invented, which leads shortly to artificial gravity and antigravity propulsion.

SY36
• General Gustaf kills several researchers before fleeing into a dimensional portal at the Project Xenos labs. The lab soon after burnt to the ground, along with the research data.

SY37
• Rocket League begins refitting all rockets with artificial gravity. Space stations are also given artificial gravity and refit internally from a "centrifugal layout" to a "deck layout" to better exploit internal volume. 
• The first rudimentary cathode guns are invented.

SY39
• Dr. Voron attacks the ST-2 space station with his Doom Rocket, but is driven off by the rocketship Centaur. 
• The RS-4 class is developed to expand Rocket Leagues scientific mandate.

SY40
• A giant reptile attacks New York city. It is finally dispatched with new ray artillery.

SY41
• Antigravity allows for the construction of the Roswell, the first of many FS-1 class flying saucers. 
• The first expedition to the planet Stratia takes place, where first contact is made with the Avianar in an amicable encounter.

SY43
• Antigravity propulsion is used as the basis for the RS-5. 
• The first practical model of a handheld size laser pistol is invented.

SY44
• The first expedition to the planet Chara II takes place, where first contact is made with the Dinosaur Men.

SY45
• The first of the highly advanced science robots is invented. 
• Archaeologist Maxwell Metzger, exploring central Africa, goes missing. Local rumors are bizarre and involve some sort of ape man.

SY46
• Mang the Malicious comes to power on Mars after what seems to be a bloody revolt, according to radio chatter intercepted at station ST-2.
• Claiming that Rocket League is not making enough effort to establish peace with neighboring aliens, a group of activists lead by the millionaire Charles Wickerman, constructs a civilian space ship named the White Dove and heads for Mars, on a mission to establish diplomatic relations with the red planet.

SY47
• The spaceship Perseus is built, the first FS-2 class flying saucer. 
• A giant lobster attacks the small fishing community of Kaikoura, New Zealand, killing 23 people before descending back into the ocean. The cause of this suspected mutation is still being investigated.

SY48
• Another glob lands near a small town in North America, killing several people before being destroyed.
• Debris and remains of the civilian space ship White Dove are found adrift near Mars.

SY50
• Investigating reports of a creature in Dark Lake in Chippewa County, Wisconsin, a Rocket League team arrive only to encounter what seems to be a "fish man". The creature escapes and is not seen since. 
• The disintegration rifle is invented.

SY51
• This is the beginning of the Rocket League game setting.
